Review: Overall a pretty good movie. It held my interest throughout. Ethan Hawke plays a desperate dad who needs money to move his family, including his wife who is pregnant with twins, out of the mold infested house they live in. Richard Gere plays a cop who is retiring, and has nothing in his life to keep him going. Don Cheadle is an undercover cop who is torn between his job and loyalty to a drug kingpin (Snipes) who once saved his life.

This movie had great drama and a lot of killing. There is one kill in particular that just kind of freaked me out, and that is when Gere's character puts a zip tie over a man's throat and pulls it tight...just kind of sick.

In the course of one chaotic week, the lives of three conflicted New York City police officers are dramatically transformed by their involvement in a massive drug operation in Brooklyn's Finest, a searing new crime drama from acclaimed director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day).

Plot: Michael Myers has come back again for his sister.

Review: This movie could have been really good. Unfortunately, it wasn't. There were some things that I really liked about this movie. Michael Myers unrelenting brutality was just what it should have been. The death scenes were shot very well. The dream sequence at the beginning was great.

What I did not like was Michael Myers mom popping up all the time in this movie, kind of guiding Michael to do things. It was just such a waste of time to have her there all the time with her white freakin horse. To me, it just seemed like this angle was just a way for Rob Zombie to get his wife into the movie. Another thing I didn't like is that Dr. Loomis was turned into this guy who just became a total prick out to make money off of his former patient. At least by the end of the movie, he redeems himself.

I think that Scout Taylor-Compton did a great job again as Laurie Strode. I think her reaction to finding out who she really is was done brilliantly. I think anyone who would find themselves in that situation would react similarly. Not that anyone would ever find themselves in that situation.

I really defended Zombie when people trashed the first Halloween remake. I thought the first one was exceptional. I think I may have had some unrealistic expectations for this one, though. And this movie just didn't deliver on it. The bad parts of the movie far outweighed the good parts and that is just a shame.

Rating: 3/10 Definitely not recommended.
